A few months ago we had the opportunity to work with one of the largest advertising agencies in the world on one of their recent Gillette campaigns. Was another fun day in our Dallas studio working with some familiar faces….
Seems that our images of FTSK on Fearless Records keep making there way through the music world. Whether its music mags on the shelves at Barns and Noble or heating up that like/share feature through the social media sites like Instagram or facebook, no doubt about it Fearless Records and FTSK is out to make a serious impact while on tour this summer with the Vans Warped Tour. Pushing a new released single and dropping instapic teasers of a new album releasing in little over a month, these boys are gearing up for some rock-n-roll-n-outta-controllin shows and sales. Pick up the most recent copy of AP Magazine (Alternative Press) and check out this full page ad shot by yours truly on Page 2!! Boys in the name of ROCK we salute you.
Holy hot tamales!! I have to say this years Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders 2014 Swimsuit Calendar Photo Shoot was nothing short of an epic adventure day after day. For twelve straight days we toughed it out in the warm and golden Mexican sun on the charming little island of Cozumel. Between scouting, shooting, and repairing broken crew memebers, we hauled gear and stumped our toes through just about every inch of sand and lava rock beaches from the west coast to the east coast and lets not forget about the crocodile infested waters of the north coast to the tsunami grade winds around the light house at Punta Sur on the southern tip of the island. Even after all the blood, sweat, tears, and a makeup artist with swollen feet, we all came to just love the island and everything it had to offer. The locals were more than welcoming, and the locations offered us more shooting opportunities than I had originally planned out during our little scouting adventures. My crew was amazing as always. Thanks to all of them for waking up at 4am and rocking hard all day long and still throwing down at 100% to nail those amazing sunset shots all while cracking jokes and having a blast and then doing it all over again and again for 7 days!! The anticipation will drive me crazy over the coming months ahead and I can’t wait to see what pics snag what months in the 2014 Calendar that’ll be released sometime towards the end of the year. Until then keep an eye out in June for the swimsuit issue of the Dallas Cowboys Star Magazine featuring America’s Sweethearts in sexy bikini fashions…….
2013 has really blessed us with some super busy times here in the big D. My crew and I have been skipping like a rock on water from one project to the next. Jet setting from the Dallas studio to the beaches of Cozumel and back again to locations and studios across the metroplex. We’ve been having a blast creating some killer new photos for the clients we love so much. Last month we had an opportunity to shoot a fun project for the band ”Forever the Sickest Kids” on Fearless Records. Word on the intraweb is they have some new tunes getting ready to fill the airwaves with a release date of June 25th. Check em out touring across the country this summer with the Vans Warped Tour. We were so stoked when we got the news they wanted to come to us to get some sick new images for their Warped Tour promotions and to compliment the sounds of their newest upcoming release. Being an avid local music lover, and fellow local musician we had a fun filled epic day of rockin and rollin and a snapping and a clicking. Yesterday Instagram and Facebook went atomic and blew up with solo teasers of some of the pics we created for them. Was kinda cool to see so many of their fans creating their very own #stitchpics to share. So here’s a little glimpse of those solo teasers…..more to come.

Well you never know what this Texas weather is going to do until it does what it does. Seems winter is far behind us and the temps are warming up quick and so is my newest work with hair and makeup artist LB Rosser and the gorgeous Kelly Gillespie from the Kim Dawson Agency. We had a very enjoyable quick throw down in the studio a week ago. Check it…..
A few days ago, we were wanting to make one more pass at shooting more uv beauty stuff. So of course I called a friend over at the Kim Dawson Agency and inquired about a girl that would work for what I was wanting. Well with such a last minute lob and glob, we got lucky and the beautiful new face Devon Yarbrough was actually going to be in town and in the area in the a.m. to make the rounds for a few go sees and casting calls. She was on a tight schedule, but agreed to give us a few hours of her time to create some art for art sake with the agreement to create a few nice, clean, and natural images that she needed to help round out her quickly expanding portfolio. I thought hmmm….3-4 hours to knock out 3 different clean and natural looks plus factoring in the time we needed to play with the makeup looks for the UV stuff. Two completely different approaches….. We’ll I felt that we were up to the challenge so I said lets go for it. When Devon walked into the studio that day, she presented herself like she was walking down the runway. Standing at 5’11″ without heels this beautiful girl is for sure on her way to a very busy career. She was such a pleasure to shoot and didn’t mind at all the we got a little messy……Actually she was loving every minute of it. I’m sure we’ll be seeing her soon in some major campaigns across the globe. But until then here’s a few of my favorites from that wam bam thank you ma’am day.

Over the past few months I’ve had an itch to do something different. Something colorfully dark and challenging. Something outside of the normal genre of imagery that we tend to see overdone lately. So why not a UV Beauty shoot. I’m starting to love the idea of lighting people and things with something other than traditional strobes and perfectly color balanced photo/video light sources. The challenges where obviously the limited amount of light and a subject that wasn’t about to be stationary. Well we decide to gather a model and give it a test run to see what kinda of images we could unfold. Ideas were there so we got together one night, had a great time with great people, and created something different. Who knows there may be more to come…..

The month of January was pretty exciting. I made a decision just before the end of 2012 that if the Mayan Apocalypse prediction doesn’t wipe out humanity then I was going to give Jeremy Shelby Photography a complete overhaul. So for the past month we’ve been getting all our lenses in a row to prepare for what we hope will be a very busy and interesting 2013. So with out going on and on about how excited I am about how great this new modern branding and website is, I’ll just let you check it out and get excited with me!! It really is fantastic!!
Well I can never slow down. Nor can I say no to creating something tasty. So when I was contacted by The Kim Dawson Agency to spit out one last shoot for 2012 to collaborate with one of their models and my old friend LB Rosser, you know I just had to say yes!! So here it is the end result of my last shoot for 2012! So after you’ve accessorized and attended all the hot parties for New Years please this year just remember to be yourself, let your hair down, and embrace all that will be the year of 2013!!!
